Addicted: A.F.L.C. District Youth Event
Saturday, August 28 from 9am-9pm
Location: Vision of Glory Free Lutheran
Plymouth, MN (494 & Hwy 55)
Cost: $10 (per teen)
$0 (per Parent/Adult working with teens)
Includes: Lunch, Supper, and Serving Project
(Trip to "Feed My Starving Children")
RSVP as soon as you know that you can make it!
We will be meeting at the church at 7:30am if anyone wants to come.
We will return at about 10:30pm.
p.s. You can't wear "open-toed" sandals or "heelys" to "Feed My Starving Children."
7th-12th Grade
'Peniel,' which is Hebrew and is pronounced penny-el, means "The place where I saw 'the face of God.'" This is taken from the passage in Genesis 32 where Jacob wrestled with God.

The Church bus shuttles people from the church at 6:05pm and returns at 9:00pm each week.

Want to take a closer look at Scripture? Have some tough questions you want answered? Have you been craving some more intimate times worshiping the LORD? Join us on Sunday afternoons as we try to mine some of the riches of God's Word and praise the God of all creation and our Savior Jesus Christ!
What are we studying?
We have been doing a study in response to the question, "Why does my church call itself 'Free Lutheran' and how is that different from anything else?" We will be looking at the foundational teachings of the Free Lutheran church that distinguish it from other faiths and denominations and looking at the history and structure of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations. Some of the books we will be using will be: Handling the Word of Truth by John T. Pless, Spirituality of the Cross by Gene Edward Veith, and Bondage of the Will by Martin Luther. These are books we encourage the Bible Study members to purchase as we go through them as a group. Other books will be referenced but it is not necessary for the members to purchase them. The Bible will be our main text and is our source for truth, guidance and correction and all other materials will be measured against it to determine whether they are in agreement.

In Estes Park, Colorado
FLY is a nation wide youth event that takes place in Estes Park, CO. Youth from all over the nation will be gathering to learn more about God's Word and have a great time in a Christian environment. The theme for the 2011 FLY Convention is "It Is Written" taken from John 20.
John 20:30-31 "Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."
